Bio
Lu is an award-winning British-Taiwanese filmmaker with a bold, fashion-led visual style and a sharp eye for casting, styling and movement. Raised in Taiwan, she trained in ballet from the age of five before turning to fine art and filmmaking.
Lu’s early documentary work with VICE, i-D and Boiler Room immersed her in music, fashion and subcultures, developing a genuine interest in people and culture that continues to inform her films. Her projects range from Tommy Hilfiger x Formula 1 featuring Damson Idris and Johnnie Walker’s Lunar New Year collaboration with designer Robert Wun, to a Boiler Room documentary exploring Taipei’s underground club scene.
